How to obtain an Arizona Marriage License

FEE

The fee for a marriage license is $72.00 payable by cash or check with a driver’s license or bank guarantee card or credit card. If you are purchasing a license at the Justice Courts, they accept checks, money orders, or cashier’s checks only.  

REQUIRMENTS

A copy of a divorce decree is not required. No blood test is required. You may be required to provide a driver's license as proof of age. You will receive your marriage license and can be married on the same day you apply for it. An unused marriage license expires one year from the date of purchase. Both parties must be present to obtain a marriage license.

AGE
16-17 years old need a notarized parental consent form signed by your parents. Your parents may accompany you and present proper identification and may sign the parental consent form in front of the clerk issuing the license. 15 years or younger need a notarized parental consent form mentioned above, as well as a court order.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
You may obtain a marriage license in any county in Arizona, as long as your wedding will take place in Arizona.
